Nickelback est un groupe rock canadien dont le style rappelle fortement les années 90.Le groupe est formé en 1996 par deux frères:Chad (chant & guitare) et Mike (basse) Kroeger,ainsi que leur cousin Brandon (batterie) qui cède sa place à Ryan Vikedal,qui est viré à son tour,est ensuite remplacé par Daniel Adair et l'un de leurs amis,Ryan Peake (guitare & chant).

Le groupe rencontre ses premiers succès lors de la sortie de son second album "The State" et part en tournée. Mais ce n'est que le troisième album "Silver Side Up" avec la célébre chanson "How you remind me" (l'un des titres les plus diffusés de cette année par les stations de radio ) qui va réellement les propulser au sommet des hits-parades.
